About  MBW  Designs 

Growing up, being creative was never far from anything I did. Art, whether it was drawing, sketching, coloring, or painting was my comfort--it made me happy.  From there came the love of rearranging my parent's furniture, and placing my drawings as artwork on the walls.



I admire creativity, and I'm thankful I have the ability to flourish in it daily. I am a details person--details matter to me, so I am always aware of that when working on design projects. Designing is my passion--from concept to development and all the details in between--to arrive at a finished project sparked by my client's ideas, needs, lifestyle, business culture, and budget.  



Being enthusiastic about finding solutions to problems keeps me focused throughout the challenges. Simply put, a finished project that exceeds the expectations of a client is just plain gratifying!



MBW Designs began from this love of design and a vision to bring the same joy to others within their space.  It's great to do what you love, and love what you're doing!

Located in the DC Metropolitan area, MBW Designs and it's team bring years of experience and expertise in remodeling and renovating interiors. Our mission at MBW Designs is to understand our client's needs, reflect them into an extraordinary design and achieve an aesthetically pleasing space through the inspiration of personality and functionality.  We strive to transform spaces into unique conversation pieces for each and every client -- a design that is truly personal and withstands time.  



Melissa is a graduate of CIDA accredited Marymount University with an MA in Interior Design and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and an Associate Member of the International Interior Design Association. Melissa is a licensed Maryland Home Improvement Contractor.
